Joshua Nilson is the founder of Direct Action Group, a multidisciplinary professional services organization providing strategic consulting, executive protection, human-resource solutions, and charitable foundation advisory support.
With more than 15 years of law enforcement experience, including specialized tactical operations and leadership assignments, Josh has built his career around complex problem-solving, operational planning, personnel development, and decision-making in high-consequence environments.
His professional background includes leadership responsibilities within patrol and specialized tactical units, the development of specialized operational programs, and participation in critical incidents requiring coordination, sound judgment, and decisive execution.
Building on that experience, Josh expanded his professional focus into private-sector security, executive protection, organizational consulting, and business development, working with clients whose operational requirements demand discretion, adaptability, and practical solutions.
As founder of Direct Action Group, Josh applies the same principles that shaped his professional career—preparation, accountability, leadership, and disciplined execution—to a broader range of organizational and client challenges.
His approach emphasizes understanding the objective, assembling capable people, developing practical strategies, and delivering meaningful results.
